Blown wool for housing cooperatives
We serve housing cooperatives through numerous property management companies, from large chains to private offices. From time to time we serve small housing cooperatives directly. We inspect and review the upper floor space and make an offer, not only for additional insulation, but also for other work around it on the upper floor, not forgetting the ventilation.
A strong coat of wool alone is not yet sufficient for a comprehensive overall insulation. The tightness of the air or vapor barrier under the wool is also important. Since the 1960s, vapor barrier plastics have been widely used in small houses. As part of our normal operation, we include additional insulation tests for vapor barrier seals at IV ducts and chimney passages that may have been ruptured from the start. Uncompressed seams may also be encountered.
From these points of leakage, the heat and moisture from the apartment flows onto the top floor, thus causing a risk of moisture damage if it can condense into structures or sheet metal roofing when the underlay is not even always available.
In turn, the indoor air in the apartment tends to collect air through the structures, even through the vapor barrier from the upper floor, which carries impurities such as wool and street dust. The entry points are opened from wool during inspection and sealing work.
The IV duct insulation will also be inspected and any uninsulated ducts and ruptured insulation will be patched. A penetration seal will be installed on flues without fire insulation. All rubbish and building debris are cleaned to prevent moisture accumulation.
Ventilation is extremely important. On attic foundation repairs, ventilation comes through the eaves of the building, sometimes even through the end valves. If needed, we will add them, or install a ventilation pipe on the roof. On concrete or hollow slabs, installation of wind deflectors is easier. In confined spaces and fragile attic foundations, ventilation may be protected by wool boards that allow blown wool to be installed closer to the edges of the structure.
Our goal is to carry out our construction projects with pride. Calculating the payback period for additional heat insulation upon request. We also carry out comprehensive insulation replacement.
Necessary meetings are arranged with the property manager, the technical property manager and the housing board representative.
